check engine light
recently my 06 1500 quad started spitting and hesitating, then the check engine light came on. I ended up taking it to dodge to see what was going on. they said i needed to do plugs and a computer update (has 65000 kms). so i did that. It was fine for about 3 days then the check engine light came on again. This time with no driving problems at all. I took it back in and they said the code was telling them it was the cataylic converter, but they were hoping that it was just a computer glich, and turned it off and sent me on my way. 2 days later the light was on. Again they said it was the converter and it needed to be replaced. Now i have taken it for an E-test and it passed with flying colours, and i have no symptoms of a faulty converter, but the light is still on.
Anyone with any ideas before i have to shell out 1700 bucks for a new converter!!!??

i dont know what the code is, how does the key cycle work, 3 times on and off ? I was thinking that it might be a sensor as well. An emissions test would still come out ok with a bad sensor would it not. and it would with a faulty converter.
