Default Trans. not shifting

I need help. I haven't driven my 2004 Ram 1500 for about 2 months as I use my other car normally. Today I needed it as my wife is using my car. I started it and shifted into reverse but the engine just revs as if i'm in park. I've tried drive, low1 and 2 but nothing. I only have 19,000 miles on it and it was working fine when I parked it in my driveway. Any ideas?

I checked the fluid level and it's fine. The tranny fluid doesn't smell burnt and looks fine also.

Fluid drained out of the torque converter. Let it idle for about 20 minutes and try slowly shifting it through the gears.

ok linkage is attached and shifting, I crawled under and checked it while my daughter shifted gears. I just started it and i'm letting it run for the 20 minutes now. Then i'll try it again, thanks.

I parked my jeep directly behind my truck an inch or so off my bumper just in case it shifted into gear and she took her foot off the brake.Well I tried running it for a 1/2 hour then tried shifting it into gear but still nothing. I'm able to engage 4wd and 4wd low but it still doesn't move. I wasn't able to shift the t-case into neutral though, the neutral light just blinked, you think this maybe something electrical or possibly a sensor? I have no idea.

No didn't check linkage inside truck but figured it was working since it's shifting on the side of the transmission. A friend of mine mentioned a parking brake pin inside the trans. that might have broken. Anyone hear of this before?
