Default LAMP OUT, its driving me nuts!!

I am getting a ding whenever I hit any bumps, and my dash says lamp out, but my headlights dont turn off... Is this for any bulb that I have on my truck (turn signal, rear lights ect)? It is driving me nuts, and i tried to wiggle lines going to my headlights and it wont do anything, only when I hit any bumps in the road. I would think a bulb would just go bad and not go in and out... Has anyone experinced this before, if so where did you look and fix the problem.

it may not be the headlight bulb any of them can turn the lamp out light on, maybe have someone sit in the car and go around and mess with all of them and see if it comes on, i know one time mine came on and i couldnt figure it out for the life of me turned out it was one of the license plate lights

i thought the truck only monitors the headlights and taillights. I didnt think it monitored the turns. i know there are guys with the older rams like yours that have those issues because or loose or bad light sockets in the rear lights.

same thing in my truck. its either a bulb going out or corrosion in the sockets. all i did was replace a bulb in the tailights and clean out the sockets.

The thing is I dont want to go replace all of my bulbs if they arent bad, and because I cant get it to fail when I mess with the lights I might just have someone follow me over some bumps to see if my lights go out... Its just a pain...

Mine is doing to same thing, mine is for the right rear brake light. Somtimes its fine and works but most of the time the lamp out shime annoys the hell out of me. I've been meaning to go out and look at the socket and connector for corrosion but haven't gotten around to it. Has anyone ever seen the circuit board that bolts to the tail light housing go bad?

Well, I've had this problem ever since I switched out my battery 3 weeks ago. I've checked every **** light in and out of the truck and they all work. The lamp out light comes on as soon as I start the truck and stays on till I turn it off. Also, after I changed my battery, the Ambient Air Temp sensor started working properly again. For the last year it would always display 130 degrees outside. Oh and to top it off, I had to pull the fuse for my horn out because it would randomly go off by itself and not stop. All cuz I changed my battery! crazy

Faulty ground - corrosion caused intermittent circuit connection - definitely will drive you crazy. As suggested try cleaning tail light connections first.

well I looked at mine and the connector and sockets are all fine. I applied some die electric grease to the sockets and didn't help. Actually my whole tail light isn't working now lol. GREAT! I'll have to make sure it didn't come unplugged.
