now when you run the cutout open, does all the exhaust go through that cutout or does it split the exhaust into both pipes?

Exhaust exits where it has the least resistance so its just out the cutout

lol, isn't that what nascar basically is? I know they don't have mufflers on those cars I don't think and they are so freakin loud too

Am I missing something here? http://www.racelandus.com/c-34-cut-out-blow-by.aspx none are $78 and the $88 one is the closest to my piping size

SB - how long have you had your cutout installed from Raceland? I'm leaning towards picking one up as a Christmas present. Everytime I see a video of these in action I start drooling.

Are cutouts illegal in some areas? And does this go before or after the cat, I know it goes before the muffler of course.

Yes, they are illegal in some areas. They are illegal here, just check your local codes to find out. On stock exhaust there isn't really room to put them before the cats, plus you would throw a code when you opened them if they were before the cat. Just put it in the intermediate pipe between the stock y and muffler.

hmm I'm getting torn apart on this, my cousin is saying as long as I throw the cutout after the o2 sensor but before the cat I should be fine. But on here it's "if i throw it before the cat i'll throw codes"......

There really isn't any room to fit the cutout after the first o2 but before the cat. And even if you did, the second o2 is going to possibly throw a code for cat efficiency. You don't want to get into all that.
