My exhuast just HAS to be different lol. So the best bet it to just throw it after the cat? I mean it kind of makes sense, the air flow already goes by the cat and the o2 sensors by the time it reaches the cutout so that's pretty much my only route there..

I mean you and silver both have the hemi so the exhaust is somewhat different than the 4.7 so you guys can place the cutouts on a different area than mine..

Put it after the cats an before the muffler in the intermediate pipe. It is an easy install and it will sound great.

I looked at the DMV website, http://www.ct.gov/dmv/cwp/view.asp?a=803&q=396292, and I couldn't find anything in there specifically mentioning cutouts, or anything related. So as far as I can tell, having a cutout in CT is not illegal in itself, but actually using it is a different story. But, I've had my cutout on for almost 2 years, and I've never had a problem. As far as where to install it, I would agree with everyone else, and say it would be easier just to install it after all the cats and O2 sensors.

I think I also read somewhere on the exhaust laws that basically if there are any aftermarket (right Teach? ) parts installed to modify the exhuast's tone then it's illegal..seems like it's more for the ricers though not likely to be pulled over in a truck like ours unless we're driving like we're insane lol

The laws tend to vary state to state. For instance, here in PA is specifically says you can not have any device that diverts the exhaust out of the system before the muffler (i.e. A cutout). I just watch who I open it up around and haven't had any issues with the law yet.

That's what it's about right there.

As a matter of fact, does anyone have a good diagram of the exhaust set up on a 4.7? Google isn't my friend, neither is the FAQ section or the search function LOL. I have a bit of a walk to my truck to get to the manual since I am across campus almost. Thank you!
