Rear diff hosed :(
Moe's is a great place to get the stuff you need, as is Air Ram. Randy's Ring and Pinion's prices are a little higher, but they got guys on staff there who forgot more about axles then most "experts" know...
Thank you guys for your input. I went To a local off roading shop and bought the DTT but I didn't get the 4.56 gears. I really don't tow anything and Ilike whatever fuel economy I do have. Also bought the master install kit. Will be here tomorrow. Thanks again.
I don't know if I'd go 4.56 either if I never towed or had stock size tires, unless I planned on living at the track.
But if you have the 3.55s, I'd really consider 3.92s or 4.10s if I were you...

Nope, only on a 2500.
Stock on a 1500 3rd Gen is 3.55s and they suck b*lls! There are many packages that upgrade you to 3.92s. Much better, although if I were gonna buy a set I'd go with 4.10s for tires under 33", 4.56s for anything over.
But 3.92s aren't bad, although the 4.10s would give you a bit more power to the wheels, make life a little easier on your transmission and give you slightly better city gas mileage. Highway would only be a smidge worse if anything even noticeable...
