Makes the truck look a lot better when it's there, not so buck tooth as mentioned earlier.

Yea, I managed to get it reattached but I don't know how long it will last. Like 3 of the 5 bolts were completely ripped out of the plastic. If it comes loose I'll just pop it off until I can find one for cheap because I'm not gonna spend no 200 bucks or whatever they cost on a piece of plastic. O btw nice to see ya got your poon title on there lxman.

agreed. if you can live with it, go for it. and your 2wd is just as good as my 4wd with the open rear diff.

my engineering sense tells me the lower air dam is for aerodynamics and drag coefficient (dodge still had the worst drag out of all the trucks in the 3rd gen timeframe). but my engineering sense and dodge engineering sense don't exactly see eye to eye.

Yep, I'm officially in the poon cabinet

It doesn't have anything to do with air to the radiator on these trucks or it would be set back behind the bumper. It is to help divert air up from under the truck to reduce front end lift at highway speeds.

You can probably find one at a local salvage yard fairly cheap if it decides to fall off.

I plan on putting road armor on in the future anyway so as long as this bumper don't rust out I could care less. It already has a huge dent from a mistake I made when I got my license. If not that though my friend managed to build a sick custom bumper for his 2nd gen ram made out of 3/8 inch steel! He of course made it up the hill easy and got through the trail without a scratch.

I dont say not to go off roading, just make sure to scout what you are going to do so that you are sure your vehicle can do it. Although if you are like some people and you like to test your limits and maybe even deal with a few minor surprises, then just be prepared to have some things go wrong. I learned many of my lessons with my first two vehicles, and for the most part was lucky enough to learn lessons from watching my other dipsh*% friends mistakes.

A leveling kit and a block in the rear would probably not be to bad of an idea, I prefer add a leafs personally, but many people dont like how much it stiffens up the rear, then get some 33 inch agressive all terrains or a mild mud terrain.

Shiloh, pretty much just ****can what these old dudes are tellin you man. Most of them just sound like old crotchety haters. Haha But anyways, for the dents, you can take the plastic inside liner off the door, its just a couple screws and the plastic lock rod-thing, and the door liner will lift off. Then just pull back plastic moisture barrier and you might be able to tap the dents back out with like a rubber mallet or something. If that doesn't work, just bondo and paint, or take it to a shop for a nice professional job. That plastic air dam in front is a waste, just throw it away, and you wont have to worry about it again, cause it's pretty flimsy and seriously... it doesn't do anything. Good luck man, with some time, you can fix the dents yourself, just work at it, and ask some professionals... [NOT THESE HATERS ^] for some tricks and help. Practice makes perfect, and that way, if/when you do it again, you'll know how to fix it =P

My stock size tires are damn near 33's if I remember right. 265/70/17's as for the door I doubt I can fix it myself as it's in an odd spot to get to. I just hope that when I do get it fixed the idiot doesn't just bondo and paint it. I guess the airdam will go if it starts to cause problems. I think I'm gonna (as soon as the money starts flowing again) get me some front coil spacers for a lift and maybe do the blocks in the rear. Whats the highest I can get the front up with spacers, and will I need anything else but the spacers to do it? I haven't ever done suspension work.

yeah... off topic also... but what the hell do you know about off roading? Stop saying we are all haters because we are trying to help the guy not ruin his truck, he came on worried about some of the things that hurt his truck and we helped give him options as to how to avoid that in the future. And I got to ask, your giving advice about wheeling, while driving a lowered truck????? I mean, nice truck, dont get me wrong, that is a very nice looking truck, but we arent "haters" because we try to tell him what is and what isn't. I have been wheeling from the day I got my license, and the best vehicle I ever had for wheeling, wasnt even lifted, it was a nissan pathfinder with tires that were as big as the thing could fit with all the fenders shaved. Short wheelbase=more mobility, that is all we were trying to tell him, not that he "couldnt go wheeling" but to just be smarter about it, he came on the site to see what people would say about it, not to have someone blow sunshine up his a$$ and tell him to go DO IT AGAIN!!! it will be fine!
