removing tint
i was thinking about removing the tint from my front two windows, and the local tint shop will remove it for $40. has anyone removed tint before, i heard it is pretty tedious with the amonia, and could take up to 3 hours. the tint sjop said it would take them 20 minutes, what do you guys think?

Peel the tint off. Just rip it off. Well try to keep it as whole as possible, but going slow/fast will make no difference so just yank it off. Spray some No-drip windex all over and let it sit for a few minutes. Then spray again and scrape with a razor blade. have 2 towels handy. One for wiping the goo off the razor blade and one to catch the run-off.
I have an inspection scraper ($8 at auto store) Makes life really easy here.
Don't heat the tint up or anything like that. I know there are products like Slingshot that is a commercial grade aerosol windex or you could use sticker remover. Windex works just as good IMO, just let is soak in for a few minutes before scraping the goo off.
