What do I do?

Bottom line is that it's your truck, do what you want, we cannot dictate what you will really do, so do whatever feels right with you. I am a year younger than you and I bought my 02 when I was 16, I do not believe I am in the warranty anymore as it's been more than 1 year since I bought it but take care of your truck and it will take care of you.. I guess sometimes you get the vehicles that they start making on Friday and finish on Monday morning

Is this the same kid who got the "bulletproof" transmission on the 2nd Gen and had an ongoing post for months about it "not sounding right" or something, and he removed his lift because of the tranny or some such crap?

I wanna know how long is the loan for that you are paying $349 a month for an 05? I only pay $287 a month for my 08 that I bought new?
Anyway, other than a very costly lifetime bumper to bumper warranty thru Chrysler, the longest I could get on my new one was 72months/85,000 miles I believe. That's what I got, anyway.
You can look into the ones on TV, but I think you have to pay a monthly fee to keep them going, so it won't be as cost effective as what you have.
You are worried about a $200-$300 repair and that's ok, but what is your deductible per repair with your current warranty? Most all of them have one.
Did you buy the truck from a Dodge dealer or an independent used car lot? If the dealer is reputable, tell them to make it right or you will be contacting your attorney and the BBB about the situation. They may be motivated to make it right then.
Personally, I like having a warranty, that's why I bought 3 new Dodges last year so my fleet would have a lifetime powertrain warranty.
