4.7L Lost To Buddies 2007 Chrysler 300
#11
Quite honestly I don't know the gains I got from it but along the way I immediately ditched the stock crimped Y-pipe and went with a Magnaflow 2.5" di/so 3" Y-Pipe, you may want to look into that one, it's rather cheap if you can weld it in yourself. As for the Superchips I can't show dyno results but in the 91 performance it's noticeably peppier than stock tune overall even with 87 performance tune. Can't wait for the p/t tm features
I seriously need to get my butt in gear and do an e-fan mod.

if it was the bottom line 300, then he also had the 4.7 and probably half the weight you do. i would think you'd have to do ALOT to beat him. but why bother? a full size truck vs a mid size car, that's not even fair to begin with. if you had a CTD or an SRT i'm sure he wouldve regretted joining that race. but to be honest 4.7s aren't meant to go fast. hell even the hemis aren't really meant to go fast, at least not against cars...

Honestly, I don't see much point in racing anything in a 4.7 equipped fullsized ram. Even a full bolt-on 4.7 is barely even against the hemi. I know once you get into p&p'ing the guts, she'll wake up, but thats a whole lotta money to spend to barely beat stock trucks (hemi, tundra, maybe titan?)
Just my .02 . If ya wanted to go fast, and get there fast, shoulda at least went with the Hemi. Over 100hp better platform to start with ('cept for you 08'ers).
Ps. that being said, I can't say I won't do a couple here-n-theres to my truck. I at least want it faster than it is......
