Call me crazy, but I noticed that my ashtray was not lit tonight. It made me wonder did my light burn out or there is no light. I can't recall if there was a light or not.

No idea on the 04's, but check the FAQ section to add your own....

 

I did check FAQ with no success. Do you think this qualifies for a FAQ. I think I am the only nut with this... Jajaja

 

Mine has a light.

 

Pretty sure it was included in a interior lighting convenience package. Ashtray, cupholder, glovebox, vanity mirror lights etc... so if you have any of those it might just be a burned out bulb

My 03' 2500 does not include an ashtray light, I followed the link for the cupholders light and will be doing this when I can find a warm day and do the same for the ashtray.

 

Not sure if something changed between the '04 and '05s but I have the glovebox and vanity mirror lights but no cup holder or ashtray light. It's an SLT so I do have the wire harness there for the lights just nothing plugged into it.

 

My 04 did not have the light but a trip to the dealer and ordered the light it was like 25 bucks and the hook up is allready there above the ashtray and cupholder and it lights both. pretty sure it was a led light of some kind so can't beleive it burnt out allready easy way to tell is see if you have glove box light. in not you dont have ash tray light either.
