My truck can get low 20's on the highway if I keep it around the speed limit (60-65). Over 65 and the mpg's start to drop fast.

i get 13 in town and 18 on highway and i drive it like i stole it. the programmer bumped it about 3mpg in town after the 2nd tank of gas. but taking that fan off is a great idea that i never thought of.

Thanks,,,, I just found it.

How long does this take about to install?

Looks like it could take a while to get done.

IMO the ONLY mod that has a shot of paying for itself in a realistic amount of time from strictly an MPG standpoint is an e-fan.
Really the only other thing you can do for better gas mileage that is cost effective would be to keep it tuned up and keep up with the EGR, PCV, etc...

I have a tonneau cover, K&N intake and filter, I always run synthetic and run my tires rock hard. The e-fan, how was the relay wired? Into a thermostatic switch or something?
