I was talking about the 75 amp Bosch relays. Is that which one you are talking about also? Its about $20 on ebay also getting the Stinger wont matter if its better. Nice setup you got there BTW. I might copy it.

Yea I couldn't find any 75 amp relay's locally so I had to order it online, it cross referenced to a Tyco relay which I got from this site http://order.waytekwire.com/productd...POWER%20RELAY/. Either that or go w/ rubberfrog's relay, they're about the same price.

The problem with the bosch relay is that it just doesn't have the duty cycle of the stinger relay. When you're sitting in traffic, the fan can cycle on and off every few minutes. Each cycle pulls a heavy surge through the relay which burns them up over time. If you compare the bosch relay to the stinger relay side-by-side, you'll find the stinger to be much larger and heavier. Part of that is because the stinger is actually a solenoid, not a true relay. Think solid state vs electronic.

I can see how you'd need a better setup w/ the viper fan and a hemi to cool, better safe than sorry when dealing w/ keeping the engine cool. I've got mine on a 3.7 so it's probably coming on less than George's.

Good point. And I am also stuck in heavy DC traffic as well.

Ive got a good solenoid that will work. I was going to use them to separate my batteries as I had two of them so it looks like I just found a use for one of them

I'm gonna do the e-fan conversion after christmas. My exhaust is starting to go, I have connections with Dynomax exhaust systems. Would you guys recommend installing one of them on the truck?

I was inquiring about more MPG. The electric fan sent the topic in one direction and I'm trying to keep it intact as to how to get more MPG. The e-fan is one way, what are others? BTW, this is my thread.

I didn't see any mpg gain from my magnaflow, just some more power. The dynomax looks to be very similar to magnaflow's design (straight through) so it should be a good muffler.
