I had no problem with the Recon LED 3rd brake light, til I put LED taillights on. They would glow very dim with the lights on. Hit the brakes and they still glowed like they were designed to.

We put a one way diode in to prevent this. Oh and my remote start stopped working til we did this mod since the brake system had slight back feed.

This was on my Silverado. All worked fine after the diode.

My recon 3rd brake light white lights have a slight glow to them and its been that way for over 2 years and no issues. The tint over helps hide it though.

halogen bulbs take so much of a charge to light up, that the vehicle continuously runs a low voltage through them....your LED's draw *******ly no power, so the low voltage that runs through the halogen but does not light it up will actually partially light up the LED

Like Fav said, put a diode in it...will fix the problem! Go to radio shack

Ive got LED lights on my rear and after I cut the truck off or even arm/disarm the alarm, those lights will stay on for about 10mins and then cutoff. Normal.
