Why did you buy Dodge?
I bought my truck for a bunch of reasons. First of all I wanted a truck and the wifey said OK! Dealers offer a s***load of rebates and discounts when there is a body style build out so the Ram was a leading favorite. I got everything I wanted in a truck under $28K. and because of some hijinx with the dealer, I got the life time bumper to bumper warranty for $1 over cost. I love my truck..Pics to follow.
GM screwed me over hard as a kid, and i mean hard. even though we were a strictly GM family. long story, but will gladly tell if anyone wants to hear it and if GM bashing isnt restricted on the forum. they will never get a cent out of me
the reason i feel in love with dodge rams is this... when i was 16 and working drive thru at taco bell a drop dead gorgeous blond lady came driving through in a lifted 3500 with a camper shell (kind of like rubberfrogs just a 2nd gen version). i immediately fell in love with both. after a blonde wife i will never do that again but i am on my 5th ram.
Ever since I saw the movie "Twister" I'ev always wanted a Dodge. BUt the real reason I bought a Dodge was because they're a cheap. Compared to Ford, Chev, and GMC..Dodge is much cheaper. I got my truck for 21K brand spanking new. Sole owner of the Ram.
^ That was one of my reasons too! I had a 96 Chevy and it had 200,000 miles on it and was just not running right and the body had alot of rust. When I was looking for a new truck, I sat in the ram and fell in love. The inside was so roomy and I loved how it rode. Plus the price was right. Ha.
I bought a Dodge for all the reasons why I will never buy anothier Dodge.
I was a loyal Ford owner, Than after two bad runs of owning new F-150's, I considerd a new 06 F-350 ext cab 4x4, Ford credit said no..So that was it with Ford.
I needed a work truck, I wanted the hemi and I wanted a 6 sp man trans, I talked my self out of a ctd ext cab truck, price wise, it was more than I was willing or able to pay, for a work truck.
Chevy reg cabs were too small, and no manual with a V/8.
I reaserched Dodge to death and opted for a 3/4 reg cab 4x4 with a hemi and manual trans, now Dodge no longer makes a gasser with a manual transmisson.
Back in 06 I factery orederd my truck, now in 2010, I'm no longer in need of a work truck and whished I had got the extra doors with a short box, But at this point, its not worth it for me to change trucks..
I had a run of bad luck a coulpe days ago, but othier wise, I'm happy with my truck.
Now I'm the first to admit, the 3rd gen and 4rth gen are far from perfect, no brand ever will be, and champion plugs are routine to get used to.
