Default Getting ready for some maintenance...

Well my 06' 4.7L is about to hit 27k Miles and figure I'll start looking at all of the essential maintenance stuff that I'm going to do to it.

Looking to get the Engine, Power Steering, and rear Diff oil with the AMSoil products and not sure on the spark plugs.

The dude at the auto parts store is pushing these E3 Platinum Plugs saying their the best things out there right now but it's really hard to tell considering he drives a Honda Civic that screams rice down the road.

So any recommends, or yay's or nay's to what I have planned?

Yep all mine. Got it when it was only 4 miles old. The most miles I put on it in a single trip was to Vegas which is about 220 Miles from me and that was once. Other than that its up and down the hill (I-15) to different store to pick up tires so about 70 Miles round trip back to work and that's done maybe 4 times a month. You know....typical "Grocery Getter" Naw that's actually the Plymouth Duster....a whopping 8MPG.

Plugs are due at 30kmi. i would do them. Get cheapo copper basic plugs. Dont listen to the ricer clown at the parts desk. Get generic NGK, Champions or autolites. under $2 per plug. These engine's don't like the fancy plugs.

For 30kmi I would def do the rear diff(Synthetic req'd), plugs, air filter(if needed), pcv valve, new serp belt, and inspect the hoses and such.

I'd wait on the power steering fluid until 50kmi. Follow the book method as you must bleed the air out of the rack properly aafter a drain/fill.

Dirty Dog, delivers as always. TY sir. I was going to wait for the Power Steering after I typed it but I'm getting a great deal on all of the oil so I'll buy it just not put it in yet.

if those e3 spark plugs are the multi-points i would stay away, ran them in my dads chevy 350 lasted about a month before the misfires started. switched them out for some NGK's which fixed the problems.
