it doesent take very long to get to operating temp just a couple minutes i guess.

havnt checked the coolant level but will do when i get a break from work in a little while.

could coolant level really have an effect on my heater like this?

coolant level is fine just at the line.

the guy at autozone said something to me about a blend door? could this idea fit in my problem?

should i just shell out the 10 bucks for a t-stat and try that first?

i really just wana do this myself instead of taking it to someone and them handing me a big bill

ummm.....this may sound stupid and if it is then id rather be stupid for asking than not asking. Ive never seen orange coolant before. I had a couple of bottles of 50/50 mix lying in the garage but its green. Is there a special coolant for this truck or something? didnt wana mix it so im gona hold off till i know what kind to buy.
thanks

you know, i thought the same thing. mine looks orange in the resiviour , but when i drained it, it was green.

i always get the prestone that says its mixable with any brand, any color.
