nope, all basic tools on the 3rd gen. easiest brake job around.

2nd gen is the same isn't it, the hex bolt is just a 12 point bolt I believe. I remember my dakotas had allen bolts but I don't remember what my '01 Ram had. Maybe they were allens too.
