Default Gauge questions....

Hi Guys...

Couple of things I need answered so that I can complete my gauge install.

1.) Trans Temp Gauge - I need to find the thread size of the test port #3. The sensor that came with the glowshift gauge did not fit, so I will need an adapter. The sender is a 1/8th NPT temp sender.

2.) A/F ratio gauge - Can anybody pinpoint the Oxygen Sensor Signal wire? We tapped into a wire which we thought would work, but it didn't.

Almost complete and will take pics. Thanks for the help.

Here is Silvers DIY on the trans temp gauge https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...gauge-diy.html You need Autometer 3280 and Autometer 2259 adapters to make it fit in the test port.

Yes, iveread that several times, but I have the glowshift gauges. Will those adapters still work for my gauge?

Don't you have to add a wide band O2 sensor to use the a/f gauge?

yep you cant just tap into the O2 you need to add a wideband before the cat. Basically gotta drill a hole and weld in a new bung and wire it up.

Did you just buy the gauge or the whole wideband setup?

I thought wideband stuff was useful for when you do the tuning? I talked to a guy that owns a local truck performance/accessories shop and that was his advice.

Thanks for your guys input

A wideband is very useful when tuning your engine. But you need a complete wideband setup to monitor your a/f ratio, not just the gauge.

*sigh* back to the drawing board for the a/f ratio. So what do I need to complete this? Parts wise and install wise
