Default This probably sounds crazy.....

Earlier today, I was running REAL low on gas, took a big chance trying to make it that far. I noticed this morning that the "Low Fuel" beep kept, beeping. I just assumed it was letting me know I was getting ready to run out, which I had to of been.

Put a couple bucks in it, went on. Get'er all cleaned up this afternoon, best she's looked in a couple months. Me and the ol' lady hit the "strip", and I keep getting the "dinging". Drove me crazy for about 1/2 an hour before I finally picked up the sequence. It only dinged when I hit the brake, or the right turn signal.

Turns out, that bulb is out (Im assuming its the same bulb running the brake and turn light) I assumed so by the fast blinking turn signal inside the cab, because that's what I'm used to when a bulb is out. But I've never encountered that dinging before, is that what these trucks do to help let ya know somethings up? If so, thats pretty cool, just threw me off.

I don't know. I have had a headlight, foglight, and turn signal bulb go out on me, and all 3 times, I never had a lamp out light come on on my dash. The only reason I knew something was up was when I used my turn signal for what ever side bulb went out, it would blink really fast. Well that, and when my headlight went out, I could see that I was missing a lot of light in front of me.

just before i left for overseas, my lamp out would come on for a second and ding once, then wouldn't do it again for a while. checked all lights working, i think it might be a loose connection for one of the tails, only did it when on the brakes

The light bar in the 02-06 in the tail light assembly is known to fail which can cause a false lamp out alarm.
