Did you end up just getting the normal painted LT's or did you spring for the fancy coating? Hurry up with the sound clip im anxious to hear what it sounds like with a cutout.

No its just no one on this forum is into it. The "other" forum has more info on it.

They are just the normal painted LT's, no coating.

How are you liking them with the cutout open? Have you had any chance to tune them in at all?

Too loud for me. Good for WOT runs and scaring people on the sidewalk but other than that, I think the cutout will be staying closed for the majority of the time. Tuning is waiting until I get my wideband, hopefully it will be soon.

Too loud for you? I thought both you and weedahoe liked it loud? Oh well, get a good free flowing muffler and it will be about as loud as the cutout was, one of the reasons why I ditched mine.

When you get to doing your runs, watchout for 2 things, 1) there is a very noticeable 3 gear bog with the LT's on (not just on my truck, quite a few guys notice it on WOT runs) and 2) Although it sounds great there are a lot of guys running with the cutout closed and are getting better 1/4 mile times than with them open.

Already started looking for a new magnaflow muffler. The Super 40 has to go bc it is as loud or louder than the cutout was before the LT's. I need a "quite" option for when the kid is in the truck and all I have right now is "loud" and "oh my god!".

Yeah my decible level depends how much I sink my foot into it. Feather the throttle and its semi quiet, gun it and it roars to life, go WOT and scares people.

My LT's that i installed on my mustang made the exhaust tone MUCH louder as well. It's all for the good. ;-)

i too changed mufflers after my LT install. (on my mustang.)
