I was going to install one but i wont a air horn with compressor, but when its -30 degrees in the winter the compressors dont seem to hold up since they always get some water in them no matter what you do and anti freeze doesnt always help neither and can burn up the compressor

I drive majority highway, my truck does seem to get remarkable gas mileage, Im not sure what the people who have had it before me did to it, but it surprises me whenever I do my gas mileage being that I dont fully trust my mileage meter, and thats 14 without having my odometer recalculated for 35's meaning I might be getting in between 14 and 15.

That was a nice little video mmstar. The 6.9 was an awesome little motor, didnt have 1 problem with it the 3 years he owned it and bought it with something like 400,000 kms on it, but the original owner did do the whole top end at 350. It was perfect for a first diesel truck cause its 100% mechanical so repairs were simple and it was good to learn diesel maintenance basics on. plus the ats turbo woke it up a bit but you didnt really feel much til you hit about 2000 rpm..as for the 6.0 once the head gaskets go if you wanna sink some dough into it then they can be built to withstand alot. deffinitely no where near the capacities of the 5.9 though. Id love to drop a 24 valve in an 08 f350, that would be something.

Black soot from a Diesel Means Wasted unburned fuel.
And the 6.0L Ferd is considered the 6.0leaker. Nothing but Fuel injection problems, turbo problems, intake gasket issue's, and Some idiot at Ford though it was a good Idea to chince out on the headbolts to save a few bucks so, headgaskets were a problem....etc.....

Yes black smoke means wasting fuel.. but not everyone gives a chit about fuel mileage.. and as for the 6.0 its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, and most of the ppl that knock it all the time arent the ones that own one. its all hearsay. I know 7 ppl with 6.0s, 4 of them have done headgaskets, and those are the 4 running tuners. 1 of them did the egr delete to prevent future issues and the other 3 with the tuners put in a coolant filter to prevent the sand and crap from wearing away at the coolant passages in the egr. As for injectors, turbo and intake gasket, no issues. Its just like any vehicle, you maintain it and it wont break. Most of the times when you hear about issues like the ones youve stated with those trucks are the idiots that buy a brand new one and throw some ****ty *** bullydog tuner or other lunchbox tuner running canned tunes and start screwing chit up, and believe me theres alot of them. Anyone that frequents a website such as powerstroke . org, researches mods for the truck and makes informed decisions arent going to have any problems.
