I can say even at the lower RPMs of 2k+ I can tell a difference with the 210. But that could be the difference in the Sidewinder not being custom tuned (only SC) and the 210 is custom tuned. However, coming from old school SBO 350s and 455s, I have always loved a good lope. Remember the Sidewinder is between the 260 and 268 and the 210 is comparable to the Sidewinder more than anything else but is 110lsa v/s 114 on the Sidewinder. That is unless you get the 210x which is 108 and what I still want.
This is where things get a little grey as you have to start thinking about your other mods and how they start working together.... The Spartan cam I am going to be getting starts its power band right at around 2500-2800rpm mark and pulls strong all the way through 6000+rpms. Now taking in consideration that with my 4.56 gears and 2700 stall tc my low end is pretty damn good, and with the LT headers it gets up in the rpms real easy real quick. Cruising Im between 1500 and 2300rpms but when I get on it will get into the 3000-4000 mark and thats where I want the extra power.

If SCT isnt compatible with the 03 I'm gonna flip. stupid 03's get the shaft on ALL the tuning. I wish I'd never bought this year model.

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna give marty and stu a call this afternoon. I may not be able to use a custom cam and have to go with a cam with a tuned cam. If thats the case, I'll just have to get the TC now to make up for it

I think you have the wrong impression about cams and canned tuning. You can get something custom ground that will run great on a canned tune. That may not be what you initially wanted, but you'll still be pleased.

Ok, just got off the phone with both Marty at KRC and Stu at Inertia. They're both very knowledgeable, but I think I liked the info Marty had a little better. Stu was pretty hesitant to do anything more than 213 seperation with the 03's ECU. Marty was extremely confident (done it before) in doing as low as 210 with the 03.

So looks like i'll be going with a custom grind off the KRC 210 (which actually is a custom grind to begin with). Sounds like exactly what Weed has... weed, how did you decide to get the 210? The Superchips wont be able to tame it, so i'm gonna have to stack it with a Diablo (again reassured by Marty that this was easily possible). What are your thoughts on all this? I'm an idiot as far as what the numbers mean for lobe, seperation, duration, etc. I basically understand the lower the seperation (lsa?) the more aggressive the torque curve is, and visaversa. What about the other stuff? I'm a cam nooooooob
