No doubt about that. I have not tried to stack a Diablo onto a SC but I explained what happened to when I stacked the SCT onto the SC. The problem is, it corrupted my truck's PCM. I had to email my build sheet to SCT so they could rebuild a new stock tune for my truck. But that was after they unlocked the tuner, lol. The Diablo will allow you to tune the tranny so I would just stick with that.

I'm telling you this because my truck was down for two days and not drivable. Good luck brother, not much sounds better than a cammed and tuned truck! Not to mention the fun of driving it.

blown I told Marty at KRC about your exact situation. He assured me that wouldnt be the case with a diablo stack so long as I didnt try to change tranny parameters with the diablo or engine perameters with the SC.

As far as diablo having tranny stuff... true and false. true for 05+. false for 03. 03 is the bastard child of the rams. its ECM is way different than 02 and 04, making it not worth the additional cost of R&D for companies to find ways to tune the 03 also

Basically Lift measures how far the valve actually opens. Duration is how long the its actually open during the cycle.

Well in his case couldn't he just use the psc1 (I think thats the one) controller to adjust some things and use the the SC as the tuner for both the trans and engine? I know that combo works. Personally though I would not try to stack chips. Just thinking of all the crap that could go wrong scares the **** out of me.

AF, if I were in your shoes I think I would buy a diablo for the engine tuning, pick up a shift kit to firm up the shifts, your an 03' so you probably have already done the TMR delete mod, pick up a nice tq converter and call it a day.

From what I was told on the DSP board, there is not TCM tuning for 04 and down. I was also advised to stack a DSP and SC for trans controls.

From what I have rad though, stacking them can be hit or miss. And you are correct weed there is no trans control for the 04' and down with the DSP (well 06 and down if you load their latest CROM), which is why I am suggesting beefing up the trans. My feeling on it is this, if something goes wrong and his TCM or PCM or both take a dump you are SOL plus the reseting of the controlers and any damage that may occure from them taking a dump is going to add up to a hell of a bill.

good thread AF... i have a lot of the same questions you have. i would like a cam, but am not sure about the tuning...

xclubcowx has a cammed '03 with stacked tuners (diablo and superchips) maybe shoot him a pm...

so what is the point of stacking tuners? why do you need the superchips since there is no tuner with trans control for the '03? is there something the diablo doesnt do that the superchip does?
