I'd like to know what kind of battery you all have. Is it the stock battery or have you bought a new one? If its still stock, how old is it? If you bought a new one, how many CCA's and CA's is it, and dry cell or wet?

My truck is an 04 with the stock battery and it is just now starting to show signs of its age.

05, and factory battery runs and cranks great. Just recently did a load test on it as part of the annual maintance and battery passed with flying colors.

When I do replace I will go with an Optima Gel cell and probably custom mount it under the bed of the truck to buy myself some room.

The only reason I would do a gel cell is if I had it in the cab with me. I have two 1000ca 850 cca's under my hood.

My battery is single, 23 years old, and has big cells.

Still have the stocker on my 04 and never even a hesitation. I've never had a battery, stock or replacement, last that long. I'm probably still going to replace it before I take it very far or go towing my RV somewhere that it would be a real pain to have a battery give out. But it works so well, I never really think about it.
