Default How many of yall use Tow/Haul?

I stumbled across some old threads of people talkin about always using the Tow/Haul mode. I was just curious to see how many of you guys keep it on all the time when you drive.

I tried it for the first time today and liked the shifting patterns better than with it being off. Less shifting and higher RPM's is what it seemed like. What do you guys think of it?

I've never heard or that. Would there be any damage done to either your truck or your gas mileage.

That's what I was wondering but from the threads I saw they said it doesn't. I'm a little skeptical though

O/D off and Tow/Haul are different things I'm pretty sure, if that's what you're thinking of and trying to go faster lol.

when i went from 33" tires to 35" inch tires the shop who put on my lift recommended using tow haul mode. With the bigger tires it really helps with the drivability, especially when climbing hills on the freeway. He told me that it would do no damage to the truck and if i liked the way the truck drove then keep using it.

All it does is extend the time you stay in the lower gears. In other words, you will be in 1st gear longer before it shifts to 2nd. No, it won't tear up your truck. I do it all the time and I've had my truck for about a year now and not a hint of trouble.

lol do you have 3.55s?

Cuz I have 3.92s from it being a 4x4 and it was still noticeably sluggish when I went up to the 35s
