Cummins Engine Swap, trying to make PCM understand changes
OK, Update time. After fighting the computer tooth and nail we figured out what it wanted and now we have full dash display. Everything is working like factory, from the ASD shutdown to the cruise control. Our problem now is shift points. Trans pressures are fine, but it will not shift at WOT because it is not reaching the gas shift point (5K or so). We are looking for a cure for this problem either as a PCM flash or a standalone unit. Hate to go with the Standalone, there is really no need IMO. If you know of people that can flash this, point them in my direction please. This will complete this truck other than turning the fuel up.
Oh, and it drives like a dream. Had to add a set of 2500 springs to the front. Set the ride height perfect with a set of 2" drop shackles. Will try for pics soon.
you can have a tuner i.e. Sean (hemifever) tune you to hit those shift points. You would just buy a SCT tuner from him and he could tune the trany to shift for you and tune that motor to the full potential.
Am I right? It would be worth at least talking to him about it. hemifever@aol.com

If he can tap into the JTEC TCM that would be great. Engine tuning is not needed, it is all mechanical. The only thing the engine is sending out is crank position (tach), CMP, TPS, water temp, oil pressure and alternator charge. Nothing else has been needed. Yet.
