Default Throttle Body Question(pics)

Hey guys, i wanted to clean the throttle body last weekend but i couldnt detatch the plug that sits on the the top of the throttle body. I even tried using a wrench to yank it off but it wouldnt budge and i didnt wanna screw anything up so i stopped. So is there a trick to getting this thing off?? Pic is attatched, the plug is already dissconnected on this TB but its the thing on top of the throttle body....

there should be a red lock on the plug that you have to slide one way or the other( cant remember) but I wouldnt yank on it anymore, you ****** the wires out and you'll be in a mess for sure then.

yeah after sliding the red clip to the other direction, it should pull off. May take a little effort if its the first time it's ever been pulled off but I didn't need a pliers or anything. Don't want to twist it nor do you want to get any chemicals near that plug or where the black cover is.

I just went out and looked. There is no redclip on the plug but if you look on the left side of the plug, theres a small opening. Get your fingernail in there or a small screw drive and pull it towards the passenger side of the truck. You just need to disengage where the plugs "hooks" in.

Mine has a red clip too. Just carefully take a small screw driver and slide it in the opposite direction and the plug will slide off

haha, well, mine apparently broke before I bought it. Thought it was weird that I didnt have the clip. In case you break the clip, this is how you get it off lol
