Yea thanks, I read on here that you were suppose to do that, so when I checked I saw like maybe 1/2" to 3/4" off the lower a-arm bucket, undid everything and turned the springs and you could feel them drop in place

I got mine from fat bobs and everything went fine, mine looks different and its metal. I dont have any popping or alignment problems and the ride is pretty good I think (much better than my friends jeep). I marked where my coil was supposed to be with a marker, I think that is what the directions said to do. Maybe I got lucky.

RedRam, you never ended up installing them? No new news on mine...and evo, your suspension is pretty different than ours
Its 3" tall because 1" of the coil goes up inside the spacer....3-1=2....cummon guys lol
Shiloh, i havent heard alot of people griping about their pre-06 trucks having this. Take a piece of masking tape and put it on the spring bucket, and see if its ripped from the control arm after a short bumpy drive. And yea your alignment is off, go get it done!
08ram, did you say you had a 2" or 1.5" kit? There are just a few of our models with the spacers, and most have the 1.5". Mine is hitting but im getting used to it (for the most part) Im trying to figure out if I should get stock length shocks though

i'll chime in here. I have done a few coil spacer installs on 2wd 1500s and a couple suspension installs as well.
I generally suggest that my customers get the 1.5" Daystar spacers....

I install these with the factory isolator to get a completely level stance. The 1.5" spacer is $40, where the the 2.5" spacer is $130. I suppose you could just run the 2.5" spacer without the stock isolator, but you would likely be taller in the front than the rear.
This is the only picture I have of the 1.5" spacer and stock isolator, but the others yielded the same results.
I installed the Rough Country 3" kit on this one...
I would expect to be taller in the front with that Fat Bob's kit. I do like it though. It is nice to see this kit being offered.
If you can swing it, the RC kit is the way to go. It is pretty cheap for a 3" lift ($300) and your stance will be that of a leveled 4wd 1500.

Sorry for the delayed response.
I have installed a leveling kit on at least two 06-08 2wds. I used the same 1.5" Daystar spacer.
I wish Rough Country would offer the 3" coil kit for those years. I have a lot of customers that would love to run it.

ok since I started this topic, might as well post an update, about a month late
got everything installed the only thing that was tough was pushing down on the upper control arm and getting the bolt started, I had to use the small wrench and work the nut up from under
the 2 inch leveling kit from Fat Bobs, made my truck 05 2 wd 1500 perfectly level, I got the kit with the procomp 3000 shocks, the only downer about those was the bushing kit was not the same ( smaller ) but installed fine
I totally love the look of my truck now, I never took before or after pics, but my measurements ( written on the Fat Bobs shipping box and tossed away ) showed almost a 4 inch total rise from the top of the tire to under the fender well, I put some 265 tire on there and it looks cool....
thanks for all your help guys
