For 250 feet? I highly doubt even the stocker Hemi's can do that, without powerbraking.

anyway, enough about squealing tires for miles on end. who cares. the MPG im getting in town is about 13, and on the highway about 15. towing maximum capacity from chicago to co I got 12.5.

buy a superchips and upgrade the ignition. you will win.

BTW, I checked my glove box and I have 3.55's with posi, for the guy who asked earlier.

also: my MPG calculations is real world, not based off the overhead computer's MPG. :-)

So I was on superchips today and when you said that they claim 60-70 horses, thats bull and you pulled that out of your a$$ sorry to say, not trying to be rude, but superchips only claims 46 horsepower out of it, and again, you have an ignition and an exhaust is all you have other than that, and 3.55's on your truck, I have ignition done, a shift kit, 35's instead of 37's, 3.92's, Ill almost bet my truck could outrun yours without to much trouble without having the superchips on my truck, and I know my truck wouldnt outrun an equivalent stock hemi. Run the numbers and you'll see the proof, like I said, the only chance you have is against a hemi with 3.23's for gears and a load in the back of it. Im not being rude, just realistic, I know what these engines make for power, and I know what all of the modifications do for it for power, and I actually understand the gearing and tire size, if you think that your 37's are not robbing any power then you are way undereducated. And the reason why your hwy mileage is so good is because those 3.55's with those 37's are going to turn such an unbelievable low rpm level because of how mismatched they are, you should be running 4.56's with 37's as most people run 4.10's with 35's, my 3.92's are only meant for a large 33.

The power levels between a 5.9 and the 4.7 are real close. The 5.9 does have more over the top potential, but with just basic mods done to it I bet it would be real close, if not the 4.7 might also outrun it because of weight difference. Although the 5.9 does gain a lot out of a little just because the potential it has because the size of the engine, just like the superchips that makes nearly a 50 hp gain on it, the 4.7 doesnt match that...

The 08 4.7s do make that with the SC tuner. They advertise 48hp and 62lb-ft. Of course after having mine I can definately tell a difference but I doubt I'm running 358 hp and 392 lb-ft.

Cherry, I am with you on this, I am calling BS!! I have a 5.9 with 3:92's tuner cai better exhaust etc. only thing I have not done is new ignition. I am running 35's and it DEFINITELY robbed power! There is no way he can have the power he is describing, and 13 in town??? with 3:55's and 37's come on!! I get 10.5 to 11 in town and 12 at best on the highway. I will be going to 4:56 gears and will look into the ignition, especially if it adds that much hp. BUT i cant imagine it adding hp!!

If you guys want to flame, I won't write up anymore about the subject. Because apparently it is so unbelievable. Have a good one.

An easy way to end the debate is to take you truck out and do some datlogging with your superchips. Do a 0-60 run, an 1/8 or 1/4 then post up the results.
