Put it this way it would be a down grade going from your 5.9 to the 4.7 as far as power goes

 

I would run carfax and bring it to a mechanic for a look over.
Of course they already say it went thru their million point car check passing with flying colors.

 

Do you think it's a good engine? Does it feel powerful, lots of getup driving onto the interstate?

Based on how the dealer has been treating you (basically lying to you, and they obviously dont know squat about how to work on these trucks), I wouldnt be acting like you are to this dealer. I wouldnt trust them, and certainly wouldnt buy another vehicle from them!
