Put it this way it would be a down grade going from your 5.9 to the 4.7 as far as power goes

The 5.9 feels overfly powerful, will the 4.7 feel weak?

Why are you asking me? Go take the truck on a test drive.
I would run carfax and bring it to a mechanic for a look over.

Based on how the dealer has been treating you (basically lying to you, and they obviously dont know squat about how to work on these trucks), I wouldnt be acting like you are to this dealer. I wouldnt trust them, and certainly wouldnt buy another vehicle from them!
