Going to ask about that 08 when I go over to get truck tomorrow, see what trade-in value is offered and maybe grab that 08 for 10 thousand cash and the 1998.
Really standing in front of the Gold Ram with my 10 year old daughter her eyes were popping out as we chatted about buying it.
Actually the truck is awesome looking, a grill and headlights and windshield that scream of beauty.
I'll have to practice up on my buying a new truck pitch, been a long time.
Instead of going to picked up my repaired 1998 with steering difficulty and walking away, trading it in and driving off into the sunset with that gold 2008 Ram masterpiece will be dominating me.

I would say talkem down if you can, but thats not a bad price really. The 4.7 has been a good motor to me so far ::knocks on wood::. That being an '08, you're going from the 235bhp motor I have, to the 305bhp motor it has.... BIG difference. One of 'our' main mods is the '08 intake manifold, lol.
The 4-7 is still no Hemi, I call it the "Mini Hemi", but its still a good motor. Couple simple mods will squeeze a lil more power and mpg's out of it, but don't expect miracles. Its still a truck, and a smaller motor at that, so the mpg's arent gonna be great, but Im sure it'll be at least a little better than your 5.9, at least
For reference: I paid $22k for my truck, with 33k miles, 2yrs ago. Granted, I trade ins that had negative "equity", plus tags, tax, and a $2300 COMPLETE warranty, up to 85k miles. Not too terribly bad, IMO. If I didn't have the trade-in situation, I mighta had more bargaining leverage, but they took the GC off my hands, so I obliged
