Why are you asking me? Go take the truck on a test drive.
Based on how the dealer has been treating you (basically lying to you, and they obviously dont know squat about how to work on these trucks), I wouldnt be acting like you are to this dealer. I wouldnt trust them, and certainly wouldnt buy another vehicle from them!
Have never bought a truck from them.
The service people are always nice, easy to deal with and warranty their work. I have no complaints with them.
You responded to my post, tried to make a point.
Take it for a test drive. Only you can decide if it has enough power or not.
I like getting first hand opinions concerning the 4,7 engine before taking it out. It's first time heard of this small V8 and sounds inviting. Am not really in the market for new truck since mine will be out of shop tomorrow but am preparing for the worst.
The Dodge Dealer has a gold 2008 Ram 1500 QC SB 4.7 with 43K miles on it listed for $15,899. From what I see on Edmonds it sells from dealer around 20K. How could they sell what looks to be a near perfect truck so cheaply?
Get it, Good Deal....I got mine a year ago for $16500 with 32k miles...The 2008+year 4.7L engine has been rebuilt resulting in more power than the 07-year 4.7L.
Put it this way it would be a down grade going from your 5.9 to the 4.7 as far as power goes
Never drove the 5.9L, but im pretty sure your wrong. If he's looking at the 08 ram than I'm sure its got way more power than the 5.9L. It would be an upgrade...

Thanks.
Am waiting to see what happens with my truck in the shop at dealer and was checking out their merchandise. Haven't lookd at trucks since buying 1998 nin years ago so there's plenty I don't know about 3rd generation RamsIt's nice hearing something good about what I saw and the 4.7 size engine.
