Or if you are a young guy do your homework then go to the shop and be bloody assertive on what you want. I dunno I fix most of my stuff on my own but have never had problems at a shop. Just don't act like a punk kid tell em what you want more than likely they will honor it.

I wish my grandpa was still around, he had his own shop and everything. My dad isn't around and my mom I hate to say doesn't know a thing about engines or vehicles in general. I can replace the sway bar links myself but I'm gonna have to have them replace the tie rods since I don't even know what's wrong with em.

I wouldn't let them touch any of it if they won't show you the issues.

I used to manage a Kal Tire and we did several alignments. We ALWAYS showed the problem or saved the old parts as proof

^ +1. I guess they'll use that "insurance purposes" card as to why you cant get under the lift for a look. Tell'em to back it out and let you see for yourself. Kinda weird they wont let you take a peek at it......

Good luck with it Shilo......

That's bull ****. Whenever I take my truck somewhere such as an alignment. The techs get nervous. I stand either at the window with eyes on 'em or stand at the back of the bay the whole time. I guess the difference is I know if there's something wrong with my truck. I look it over all the time to try to keep up with stuff. When I take it for something since I already know what I need if anything to take care of, I tell them I don't want their hundred point inspection and just do what I brought it in here for.

You should ALWAYS get to see the broken/worn out part.
