Default Diablo is pissing me off

I brought it to their attention that the 9r06 didn't have the trans support of the 05 and 06's, they looked into it and sent out a new CROM as a fix, this CROM was basically the same as the 9r06 CROM. They both did not work on my 05' and a few others 05's.

(BEFORE ANYONE STARTS ASKING WHY SWITCH TO THE 9R06 OVER THE 9R05 OR 9R04 THE 9R06 PULLS HARDER HAND HAS A THROTTLE SETTING WHICH IS REALLY NICE)

There was and is no TCM calid with either one of the tunes, there are no options for the trans, and it did not read the trans when first reading the vehicle.

Well if you are not following the thread over there on their forum, they are now saying that the tuner is defective and that we need to send it in (if you dont have a receipt though its $99 + Shipping which is complete bull sh*t). The thing is, it does not read the trans or have a calid with the either of the new tunes but reverting it back to the older CROMs like the 9r05 and it reads everything just fine and has a TCM calid. So if the crom before the new one works fine HOW IN THE F'n HELL CAN IT BE AN ISSUE WITH THE PROGRAMMER!!!! Specially when it is not just my programmer that is having the same issue

Which brings me to this, if you have a preditor load the 9r06 on it and see if it reads the trans and has a TCM calid. If you already have it loaded go out plug your preditor in with the key on and read the calid (go to options=>troubleshooting=>show calid) to confirm if it is showing the TCM calid. I know its a pain in the *** to load it and set everything but this is just pissing me off.

You know Ive been following that trans support thread on DSP for some time now and it really is bad. This is something I cant help but think they knew in the beginning anyway. I mean, how do they do a revision or update and NOT test it first?

Then for it to take SO LONG to resolve? Thats hard to believe also.

I read where they said it was an issue with the programmer but like you, I find that hard to believe when it worked and the support was there with an older CROM.

Exactly, I mean how in the hell does one work fine and then the other not work and its all of a sudden an issue with the tuner itself and not the CROM release.

I know man, and like i said before, software dictates how hardware works. If they dont want it to work on the tuner then they make it not work. Did you ever go back and try to 05 CROM and see if you had the trans support?

my brother had the same issue with his 06. he bought the diablo about 2-3 weeks ago and he had to update it right away. as soon as he did and hooked it up to his truck there was no trans options and no mds delete. he got the 05 crom and loaded that up and all the options are there. hes pretty pissed too!

I loaded the 9r06 from the 9r04 and I have all the tranny options. I also show a TCMCAL ID number. My Ram is an 05 HEMI. Am I missing something?

When did you buy yours? A;so do you know how it was "born"? (meaning did it start out as the U7137 or was it a U9000 and the converted to a U7137?

I dont know what the hell happened but there are quite a few of us that used the 9r06 CROM and lost a bunch of features.

I recently got a DSP for my 05 ram. It came with 9r04 installed. I have been running it and debating on whether or not to update it to the 9r06. I have been reading about these issues with the 9r06, so should I update or stay with the 9r04. What will I gain if I upgrade. It seems like I may loose my TCM control. What should I do?

Download it and try it out and see if it works. The more people who try it and give their feed back the better. And if it doesn't read the trans let me know and I'll email you the 9r04 & the 9r05 croms to restore it back. Mine works fine on those but i loose the tcm control on the new ones
