Default HEADER Question..Shorty, that is.

I think the next thing I'm going to get with my Ram stimulus package money are headers. I've narrowed it down to the shortys since I'm not looking to delve into a lot of exhaust modification.

Anyone have an opinion of the best bang for the buck and where to get them?

I've looked at Autoanything, Moes, Summit and Stylin Trucks so far. I'm pretty sure I'm staying away from the black ones...Moes has some BBK chrome/ceramics for $299/$399 on Moes. Summit has about the same selection and price.

Not really looking to spend $600-700 on them.

Thanks guys

I would only do shorties if it is a smog inspection issue. Otherwise, you'll always regret it and wish you got long tubes.

As far as shorties, BBk is the best. I have edelbrock shorties. They're definately better than stock, but no comparison to long tubes.

DEFINATELY get ceramic coated. No titanium coating, or high temp paint, or any other crap coating that won't hold up.

I have JBA headers. I picked 'em up at a very fair price and install was easy.

Check out Airram. Maybe he's got something?

are BBK's better than the JBAs? i had always heard that jba makes the best shorty. jbas are just so damned expensive.
