Jay: any suggestions for the throttle linkage on our 4-7's? Thats the only thing not mentioned in the DIY. I just got 2 cans of Wearever Brake parts cleaner for less than $4 (BOGO FTW!). I plan on doing both trucks today, as the Hemi has over 70k on it, Im sure thats gonna be funky as hell....

None of the 2500 gassers do, their GVWR dictates that they are not classified the same as the 1500s and DO NOT have to meet a lot of the emissions and MPG standards.

Also, the '03 1500 does not as Chrysler was granted a exemption from EPA standards in the first model year the Hemi was introduced... No EGR and TMR delete availability = lucky bastards!!!

Preciate you taking pics Jay. I went ahead and just did it while the bastard was still attached, PITA!! haha, I couldnt even get the dam (vacuum?) line off the right side of it. Tried pulling it, using a flathead to pry it, nada. Stabbed my thumb and all kindsa ****, but, its clean! I was afraid I was gonna mess the linkage up by flipping it over, but I just got home, all seems to be good.

I also took that snorkel tube thingy off my intake box, just to see what difference it made. Between that and the cleaning, seems a tad more peppy, but the sound difference is AWESOME, lol.

Now, the Hemi was a breeze to get off, no problem at all there. BUT, it was FAR worse than any other one Ive seen on here. I still didn't get it completely cleared up, and I 'scrubbed' for 20 damn minutes. And the plenum part is crazy looking: looked like an oil slick in there, and when I reached in with the rag, the sides were real gritty, like **** was burned on there... Can't be good....

ALSO, I understand its somewhat normal for the oil cap to be brownish, rusty looking, but there was a lotta condensation, and smells strongly of gas. Is that normal? Just wondering, Ive been hard on that 'Rango without a lotta proper maintaince, besides regular oil changes. Thanks for reading, and again, thanks Jay

LUCKY! i dont think so!! yeah we have no egr and we have the tmr delete but thats ALL we have.... no control over anything elese that the newer AND older models have. id rather have an egr and trans controls than my 03! from all my research ive done and all the threads ive read over the years if come up with this: The 03's pcm's suck!, our front brake calipers are crap, our trans' are POS, our valve springs blow, no one really makes a tuner that does much, and no one makes a supercharger because of our stupid pcm's. man i wish i had a 06 or a 2500!
