Bad bad sounds
I don't have LSD but this morning when I backed out of my drive, I heard a loud bang/pop and it did it probably three or four times. Then it did it a few times in drive. Any ideas? I'm prolly to blame for this, pay to play I guess.
When you backed out.....did you have any lock put on the steering?
Judging from your post, I presume the bangs/pop's were heard from the rear of the truck?
What about drive shaft UJ's?
Al.

I plan to jack up the *** end and do just that Weed, I'll check the gear oil first and then prolly just go ahead and change it. Gives me an excuse to throw in some RP i guess lol.
could be about anything. Gears, bearings, brakes, rotors, etc. Just gwine have to get under there and investigate...

I got under there and looked at everything and I don't see any broken bolts or tabs of any sort, and I couldn't get the truck to make the noises again. I'm gonna pull the cover here in the next few days and see if I have any play with the carrier or ring gear, if not I'll seal it back up and fill her with some RP gear oil.
Couldn't get it to do it all yesterday, but this morning what do ya know. Same thing again. I'm gonna pop the diff cover and check everything out for wobble or any visible/ obvious issues. Prolly go ahead and paint my diff cover while I'm at it, would engine enamel do the trick?
