Default Dent in rear bumper (dont ask!!!)

Well this morning I decided to turn around in my driveway and in doing so, somehow(still half asleep) I backed into a freakin tree . Is there anyway to repair this, or am I going to half to find a new bumper? I thought about using a body filler, then sanding it and using chrome spray paint, even though I know that will still be noticable, but would it be that bad of a fix?

The best thing you can do is take it off and try to hammer it out. The bumpers are pretty thick so it might take some good whacks. This will however usually screw up the chrome some. If your a perfectionist like me the best thing to do is buy a new bumper.

Nah next time (if there is a next time) he will probably do more damage.. Like the tailgate or the corner of the bed..I'd just get a new bumper.. I have almost the same exact dent in mine but not as bad

Get that body damage fixed asap before it starts rusting or you could have a long term problem there. The bumper... Like Eazy-E said "throw in the gutter and go buy another!". You can pound on it all you want but most likely you will not get it back to normal. If you you can, bump it out a bit and use minimal filler/bondo then you could paint it the same color as your truck. BUT, after all that work you can just go buy another factory chrome bumper and be done with it.

Also don't try to "chrome paint" the bumper if you try to fix it. It will deff not turn out chrome and won't look right at all!

I have the same dent in my bumper too lol(trailer hitch though). I left it. Just get the paint fixed and either replace the bumper or leave it =P

Well I just went and bought some bondo and paint to fix the body damage which really isnt that bad (picture looks worse than it really is), but the bumper is going to drive me nuts, so I guess Ill start to look around for a used one, unless any of you may know where to get a new one from.
