Default Mobil 1 5W-20 5qt jug @ Wal-mart?

Ok, about the only thing I ever buy at Wal-mart is the 5qt jug of Mobil 1 5W-20 for $23. It's about $31 for 5 - 1qt's. (Yes, I know I need 7, I'm just talking about the 5qt jug at the moment).

I stopped by yesterday and the local wal-mart didn't even have a spot for 5W-20 anymore, according to the tags. So I'm curious if it's only that wal-mart that has dropped it, or if it's throughout the chain? They do have the 1qt size.

Anyone else bought it recently?

Hmmm..... just checked autozone.com online and they don't have the jug either.

Our W/M used to sell RP but quit some time back. I havent checked for Mob1 recently but I do buy it for my wifes Mini and my dads Chevy and $23 is about right. Its certainly cheaper than buying it anywhere else. I hope they arent getting rid of it.

The wal mart near me has never carried the 5w 20. I always look when I am there bc that is what my wife's jeep uses but they only have the 5w 30 that I put in my truck.

I had to go this morning for dog food, they kill everyone else on Purina Dog Chow prices. Remembered this thread and wandered down the oil aisle to look.
My Wal Mart had 10w-40, 10w-30, 20w-50 and 5w-30 in the jugs, but no 5w-20...

How many guys run the 5w-30? Manual calls for 5w-20 doesn't it? Does the 5w-30 keep the "Hemi Tick" at bay? I was suprised when I first started my MC at the dealer when I test drove it, not even a slight tick, could barely even tell it was running it is so quiet. I'm just afraid it's going to start after I change the oil for the first time, as others have stated happened to them.

The MDS wasn't available in the MC in '06. Does that mean I should run the 5w-30 b/c I don't have MDS??

I don't have MSD in my 05, and the oil cap says to only use 5-20
