Unhappy Big problems!!!! Help!!!

I noticed that my 2006 RAM 1500, 5.7 Hemi was slowly losing power while driving. Nothing to really write home about, but, I began to notice it. A few days ago, it started to run a bit rough on the highway and all of a sudden, the check gauges light came one (the one that looks like an engine)

It was not blinking, so, I took it to my guy. He pulled the code P3497. As I understand it, there are 4 things that will generate that code. How do I know which is the actual cause? I don't want to tear into the motor if I can just change a plug or install a new oil filter.

HELP!!!

Good old MDS.
This is going to be a mechanical issue with the mds system, so you will need to remove the intake and check the mds solenoids for cylinders 4 and 6 as well as checking for restrictions in the oil passages to these solenoids.
