I have them on mine, went with the thickest ones I could find and have had 0 problems. If it lost any power it is 100% NOT noticable, track times also say the samething

The shorty's are the poor man's way of converting to the newer setup, but you'd need an aftermarket coil to get as much power as the 06 stock coil (and they make aftermarket coils for the 06 and newer as well). Very pricey though.
They only cause backfiring on the boosted or N20 guys stock you have nothing to worry about, Mines a 2004 and I converted it to the 06+ dual coil packs enginecompleted015.jpg?t=1268494986

Which works fine if you stay N/A, Those MSD coils are expensive @ 430 for 8.
