5.7L Hemi-Broken Valve Spring - Help
just go to dodge spend 60 bucks and get a full set of 6.1 liter EXHAUST only push rods and 6.1 Liter EXHAUST ONLY exhaust valve springs for the 5.7. its the easy cheap and STRONG way to fix the 5.7 valve spring breaking issue
Why buy Dodge crap? Their pushrods are garbage. I bought the full set of Manley pushrods from Art, 5.7 intake & exhaust and the 6.1 exhaust springs for entire swap. Didn't know about the discount though! Doh!

They're 3-piece junk, that's why LOL I don't know why you even started the new discussion, this thread is way old and I had made a reply to oneHEMI's request for a picture comparison.
FireFighter; Thanks for your trouble and the notification. I had thought about your goat during the summer in how was it doing after your spring-rod venture last spring. Being you had not posted anything lately I took it all is running to specs.
And thanks to the other Ga goatDriver, Weed, for the source tip to buy the rods&springs from 'here'. The prices I do like.
The rod pic tells there are a slight flat wear spots on each OEM rods. It would be interesting to have a hardness comparison test on the two. Thanks for the info.

A vast majority of the guys who run cams use the 6.1 springs and push rods. Most guys dont bother to fork out that huge difference in springs and push rods that the beehive and manley cost. Although they are good, Ive never really seen anyone bend a push rod unless it is very high (read - 6500+) RPM.
We have seen several guys buy those beehive springs and come in here saying they have broken.
