Please Help~! Engine knock after oil change
I dunno..I just hate i spend money on all my mods and before i get them,it shows up. How is it "normal?" It sounds kinda like the loud video but...you cant really hear it up top, down below,on the passenger side, like the oil pan area as said. its not the constant ticking though, its more like a random tap tap tap...no hard nock underload or when you let off...no real valve clicking issues up top.I heard it for a second on the video when he was down next to the door. I dont know, drive it till it dies i guess...

mine is not like the last posted video..its like at idle you hear a tap tap tap tap..not ,under load or otherwise its gone..start up sounds normal...just at idle. I just hope it doesnt get worse cause a new motor is 7000..and I dont know how or who would rebuild one. Id like to sell it ...its a 2008 with 35k.
You have a tick at idle and you are going through the roof?!? Truck runs fine, no CEL's! Man I'd hate to be your mechanic! You are over-reacting! Mine's had the tick at idle since day one. Louder when I added the CAI, louder when I added the headers. A bit softer when I switched from Mobil 1 to RP, but still there, only noticeable at idle.
CHILL!!!! With just average care, that engine is nearly bullet proof. Now the transmission, 'nuther story...

I noticed ticking after i went to synthetic oil my last oil change in 09. My motor only has 9500 miles on it. Put fresh oil in it last weekend 3-14-10, valvoline full synthetic 5w-20 with wix filter.Sunday night 3-21-10 after work it was worse then normal. It did not go away when i gave it more gas. It quit after about a half mile from work. Im sorry but that is bs that dodge has not resolved this issue. Not sure if it is hemi tick or what. It is embarrassing to have a ticking coming from a motor with 9500 miles. Do i have hemi tick or bigger problem?
