Default how wide is my rim?

so i heard my rim is difference widths? so i am gonna see if you guys know for a Fact how wide my stock 17 inch rims are

well i am installin a 2.5 inch leveling kit and gonna run 305/70/17's what u think? good rim size?

Go on the website of whatever tires you are buying and look at the specs on the tire and it will tell you if an 8 inch wide tire is recommended or if its in the risk zone

a 295/70/17 smallest rim size recommended is 8 inches wide, so a 305 might be safe, but just barely... dont do anything real intense on that tire... lol

You'd be putting a 12in. wide tire on an 8in wide rim. So more than likely your gonna get premature wear on your tires.

i got the nitto 305/70/17 and they are a perfect size tire. my wheels are 17x9 though but i think your still in the range.

just dont run high psi in them and they will wear just fine. the rule of thumb for width of tire to wheel is a difference of 4. 12-8=4 so you still in the range. your good. do a chalk test to check the tire pressure is correct and then just remember that number.
