the only thing that really can take up some of the slop is a good aftermarket efficient torque converter.

and truckin, thats where i was sitting at before too. now im averaging 120-125. its been around 70* outside. guess that PML pan helps out.

i have driven about 130 miles now. no sign of the shudder getting any better. BUT, i dont think its done learning yet, my shift schedule is still all kinds of whacky.

on another note. i dont think my TC is locking up. im turning a bit more RPMs than i used to. but i guess that could also be related to the tranny slipping. who knows. my temps are fine, so i guess ill keep driving and find out eventually.

Are you running any sort of tune with the new trans? Like a superchips or anything?

May want to try to load a superchips tune if you got one, maybe just maybe the stock tune is not liking the new trans so adding a new shift schedule may work to your advantage

i have a DSP, and ive been thinking the same exact thing all day. seriously. but given the track record of trannys and DSPs, i decided to play it safe a lil while longer. and i know there were only a few isolated incidents with people blowing trannys who had a DSP. (and by blowing trannys i mean broken transmissions, keep your minds out of the gutters) but so far im in over $3k with this "project" and dont really wanna risk anything. i might call up denny again tomorrow, or maybe drive up to Edge in los angeles and see what Andre thinks.

04's dont have any trans support with the dsp so you dont have anything to really worry about there. it wont even read the tcm. Thats why I suggested a superchips tune possibly. I'd give someone a call as something doesn't seem quite right

Yep, this has been a couple days now. IMO, it doesn't seem right. I would get some help. I would specifically want to know why the TC isn't locking. Good luck..
