Sounds good, can't wait. It wouldn't even be worth returning the superchips, only paid $285 for it new, and it retains value if you sell it used. That's the plus side about a chip; it can't get "old" like a crappy CAI would.

Because it increases line pressures and removes a degree of torque management. I believe the newer releases will allow you to have user adjustable control over the shift points and the degree of TM you can get rid of.
I'm waiting to see how many idiots do completely away with TM and then drive it like they stole it and blame SC when they blow a transmission. I doubt 2 prime can handle much more than 50% or so of TM gone.

I'm surprised you don't feel any gains with the SC. With no other mods, it's a solid 15-17 RWHP which is feelable. Plus IMO the firmer shifts alone is worth the price.

I have a feeling your expectations exceeded what the gains are. I think some guys are under the false assumption that a $300 tuner is going to be a substitute for ported TB, Headers and polished heads. There ain't a $300 product in the world gonna give you the gains that $3000 in engine work will, just ain't happening...

Probably the most common mistake on this forum is that guys think a gas tuner is going to turn their truck into a race car.

Those diesel tuners produce serious power.

Back to the whole intake discussion, has anyone compared the temp of the air going through the intake to the ambient air temp? I did it with my airraid and the intake air is within 1 - 2 degrees of the ambient air temp. It would be interesting to do a comparison to see just how cold the air is that these different cai's pull in.
