Cool Beans... My 3815 tunes were setup to ditch 2P and bump my idle a hair since about July of '07 at my request. But I used the 3815 to reset the truck to stock last friday and I have it up for sale. I was made an offer I couldn't refuse...

What are you going to use for tuning now? Something that you can tune that cam with?

I dont buy ANY manufacturers word on what their product will do, all they want to do is sell you something to turn a profit.

That being said, THE only other CAI I would pick up other than what I have now (which is by no means the best or the worse CAI out there) is a BFI.
whats to cut up? the plastic piece in the bumper that needs to be removed is held in by plastic clips and the scoop that comes with the kit bolts right up to the existing holes,so NO CUTING . as for the heat no issue you can touch everything from the tubes to the cover cool to the touch even after driving 3 1/2 hoursthe only time I would imagine anything getting "heat soaked" if your sitting still for long periods of time. but that would be the same for any CAI

and good luck for anyone trying to get there hands on a BFI they are having issues aging with the manufacturing them and shipping them to the people who have already paid for them. they are having the same issues as when they were call ramhammer changing the name did not change anything lol

Seriously, I thought they got that all cleared up when they changed over from ramhammer to the bfi?

That is a shame bc the bfi is a nice intake. Hope they get their act together.

It isn't that I had set too high expectations with the flashpaq; I've been around the block with bolt-ons with my neon and '01 Ram, so I knew it wasn't going to be anything too crazy. In fact, the major driving force of me buying the superchips was for 1.) program my truck to utilize 91 octane because I always use 91 anyways and 2.) increase throttle and downshifting response. I still drive the same roads to work and still have to go up the same giant *** hills, and my truck still takes awhile to realize it needs to kick down a gear so it can works its *** up the big hill. With this said, the truck definitely improved its passing power, but I was hoping the chip would offer better throttle response during casual driving like my friend's hypertech did for his F-150 (he can just play with his throttle all day).
