Default Finally got a Super 44 installed

So after months of saving up, I finally took the truck down to the muffler shop and installed a Flowmaster Super 44. It sounds great!!! Nice rumble. I had them install it as far back as possible to keep the resonance down, but I still get lots of drone inside especially around 2k rpm. The wife hates it. I had some flowmasters on a mustang of mine and I guess I'm just used to it. I will have to do a video but its way too windy here in Vegas today. I will try to post some pics either tonight or tomorrow. Very clean welds.

The shop only charged me $240 for the whole thing. $180 for the muffler and labor and another $60 to remove the resonator. If the wife continues to complain I may have to get a Flowmaster resonator put on. But we shall see.

Rustmaster. Never heard that one. Here in Vegas rust is the least of our worries. We get half an inch of rain a year. It is a tad high but it is the most reputable shop in town. I asked around and I was told that these guys were the best ones. I had some on a mustang of mine in SoCal where moisture can be an issue and never had any problems.

Nice man, gotta love the sound. Just watch out cuz you'll have a bunch of haters jump at you for buying a "slowmaster". Just ignore them and enjoy the sound of a badass truck.

Congrats! I'll probably go with the stainless steel 44's next time around with the cut outs.

Nothing bad to say about my 40 series.

Nice sound and I have had it for 3 years in rain, ice, salt, and no rust here.

Better look closer, They rust from the inside out, usually where the inlet and outlet are welded to the body. Never again for me. Magnaflows on the Ram and Mustang!!

Did you just have them cut the stock muffler or mufflers off and trade with flows or did you have new piping done? And what's a resonator? Do 4.7s have it?
