no, it might mask the problem but theres still a problem. The shop you took it to, was it a dodge dealer? There might be a flash update for your truck that you need from the dealer. Throwing any codes? Something isnt really adding up. One way to test is just cut off the muffler and see if you experience the same problems. Maybe an exhaust leak somewhere else? Intake leak? I really dont think its your muffler but something else is at the root of the problem.

Yeah it was a dodge dealer and I've taken it there 4 times and they have said each time it's not throwing codes and there are no updates.... I thought about cutting the muffler off just to see so I might try that tomorrow.

Reset the PCM so it can relearn the adaptive tables. Unhook your battery for about 60min.
After you unhook the ground cable, turn on the headlight switch. This will help discharge any capacitors in the PCM.
Then after 60 min, turn off the light switch and rehook the battery. Drive it awhile so that the PCM can relearn the adaptive tables.

Anytime that you do a mod like an intake or exhaust, it is best to do this. The PCM will adapt to the changes faster this way.

I would highly recommend Magnaflow over Flowmaster. They are stainless and flow much better.
